"It will make you fearless forever" (Notus)

The Story

NOTUS, The God of the South Wind

A story tells that a long time ago, Notus, the God of the South wind appeared one night on the cliffs of a small town, to a woman that wasn’t believing in her capabilities anymore. Notus told her: “Wear it as your armour and your shield. It will make you stronger and if you strongly believe in it, it will make you fearless forever”. Then he disappeared.

The woman stood up while shaken by the gift and felt a rising flame into her heart like a heroine before a battle. Fierce like an amazon under the moonlight, she kept on staring at the dark and to the invisible horizon that night.

The woman had revealed a truth that she would never be able to hide again. The iron facet, that was unknown so far to her and to the world.

The NOTUS WOMAN is a woman admired for her courage, outstanding achievements and noble qualities. When life pushes her to her limits, she resembles a divine being with super human qualities, fearless and daring attitude.

NOTUS EVENING SWIMWEAR COLLECTION tells a story of strenght and femininity, of urban amazons fighting for their beliefs, of shy souls unleashing their full potential, of battles won with grace, elegance and culture.

About Me

Marina Oricchio, originary from the Italian Southern region of Apulia is currently CEO and Founder of Notus Evening Swimwear, a company mixing the British extroversion and Italian fashion sophistication.

Notus specialises in designing, manufacturing and distribution of hybrid Swimsuits dedicated to the Evening and the Urban lifystyle, with a seasonless outlook.

Marina Amazon, long-term veteran of the fashion industry and living in between Milan and London for almost 20 years, held senior-level positions in luxury brands such as Prada, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren.

“Bringing swimwear from the seaside and daylight to the evening and night out to follow the pace of dynamic women was my dream”- she says. “After the holidays, when I was going back to the city, the idea of wearing a swimsuit would put me in a different mindset. I was feeling free, festive and cool like I was still on vacation.”

So why not keeping that summer sensation all year long?”

Hence the question: are we ready to switch to swimsuits that are made for the night? Do we believe that swimsuits can become evening dresses to follow us in our lives when we don’t want to go back home and stay up all night?

Let’s give it a go!
